How to deal with reviews? – with Walter Schönfelder

Once we push the “submit”-button, the really terrifying part of publishing starts: Waiting, waiting, then waiting some more, until finally we get the verdict. Reviews from our peers come in many forms and shapes – all from constructive comments to those that appear incomprehensible or even outright unjustified.

There are no fixed rules on how to respond to reviews – and certainly is not a single “right” way to do so. I will talk about my experiences with receptions of my own submissions from editors, reviews from my peers, and strategies to deal with both.
