More knowledge on this topic is needed, especially when it comes to longitudinal foster care research in a Nordic context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\"><strong>Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\">The project aims to better understand the needs of unaccompanied refugee minors living in foster care in Norway, especially with regards to how \u2018home\u2019 and \u2018continuity in care\u2019 are experienced, negotiated and constructed, and thereby contribute to discussions on how equitable and culturally sensitive services can be developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\"><strong>Research questions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How do young people and their foster carers experience and construct \u2018home\u2019?<\/li><li>How do young people and their foster carers negotiate \u2018continuity in care\u2019?<\/li><li>How do experiences of \u2018home\u2019 in foster care evolve over time?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\">Qualitative individual photo-elicitation interviews will be conducted with nine foster families, including unaccompanied refugee minors and their foster parents. Participants will be interviewed at two points in time with an interval of 6-8 months in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\"><strong>Theory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\"><em>Continuity<\/em> refers to stable care and adult relationships, as well as the child\u2019s ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic background (UNCRC, 1989, Article 20). <em>Homing<\/em> can be understood as a continuous search for a sense of security, familiarity, and control (Boccagni, 2017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\"><strong>References<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sizing-medium\">Boccagni, P.
